The Day Our Soul Felt Its Worth
Thank You, dear Heavenly Father, for sending Your Son and giving me something to live for-Jesus. I feel so blessed to be able to share Your love. I know how You filled my heart with love, peace and joy, and I love sharing it with the world. You can never understand, until you give your heart to Jesus, the reward you receive to be able to tell the wonders of His love. His love is so amazing when it enters into your life and you see the world so differently. Every Christian is your brother because now we share the same Father. Your sins are forgiven and the weight of those sins are gone forever and you feel lighter because they are gone in the sea of forgetfulness; Jesus no longer remembers them. Yay! I love spreading the good news of a Savior born who loves us enough to have died for us. And when we die, we will spend eternity with Him and His Father and we will see all those who went before us. What a great hope! Trust in Him and let go of your old life. See the happiness that will come in and He will abide in you. The world will seem brighter and the grass greener, as my daughter said to me when she gave her heart to Him. Just because I am saved doesn’t mean my children are; they had to make that choice on their own. Thank you for being with me today.
Matthew 1:18-25
18-Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows; After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19-Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
20-But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit,
21-”And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22-So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23-”Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
24-Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife,
25-and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.
Luke 2:8-14
8-Now there were in those same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9-And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
10-Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
11-For there is born to you this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord,
12-And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”
13-And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14-“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the Soul Felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O bear the angels’ voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night divine, O night, O night divine!
