The Righteousness of God
In the Bible, righteousness is said as having a right standing with God and living in a just, honest, and faithful relationship with Him, other people, and all creation. The Bible says there are two types of righteousness: one with God and one with man.
Let us allow the Holy Spirit to do Its work within us, to lead us into righteousness. Put aside unholy thoughts, bitterness, jealousy, or unforgiveness. Let us seek Him first in our life then everything else will follow, as His Word says in Matthew 6:33.
Do not let life distract you from Jesus’s calling on your life. Yes, we have to live life, but make Him your first priority. Stay within His love. Keep our thoughts holy like He is holy. Do not let satan in to steal your relationship from your Heavenly Father because that is what satan tries to do every waking hour. Proverbs 11:18 tells us, “the wicked man does deceptive work, but he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.”
Romans 1:17
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “the righteousness shall live by faith,”
2 Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become righteousness of God in Him.
Philippians 3:9
And be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ.
1 Timothy 6:11
One who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness, and honor.
1 John 2:29
If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
2 Timothy 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Titus 2:12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.
