About Me
“It’s a great life if
you don’t weaken.”
Hello, I would like to introduce myself as a miracle of God! My name is Marie Abruzzo and I have been a working hairdresser for 45 years, which is how I supported my four children. Being a single parent, it was not easy; but we were able to make it through with the help and encouragement of Jesus. I am now a grandmother to nine grandchildren and I love them all dearly. I am very proud of all of them and my children. They have been my life line of love, working through Jesus to continue on in many hard times. I have some photos of them in the My Family tab.
When I turned 22, I gave my heart to Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I asked Jesus what He wanted for my life, how I may serve Him, and He made it very clear that I was to be a hairdresser. God’s providence is so great because when I was only 13, I had been casually doing hair for my mother’s friends and at the time the local beauty shop even wanted to send me to beauty school, but being so young I wasn’t interested. Soon after I met my first husband, we got married and started having children. After becoming saved, I realized why Jesus had chosen this path for me. With this type of job, I was not only able to contribute to taking care of my family, but I was able to share my faith and my testimony with many people, encouraging them that they can make it also.
Life is hard at times, but my father had a saying, “It’s a great life if you don’t weaken.” My life has been riddled with many, many hard times, but it is through those hard times that I have been able to know and grow even closer to Jesus. He showed me long ago that He would use my life, my testimony, to touch others.
I am now a published author of a book titled, “He Did It For Me,” which follows the journey of my walk with Jesus, and how He has always been there to carry me through, something He can do for you as well! For more information about “He Did It For Me,” please see the My Book tab above.
I am also the author of the Christian Blog titled, “Love of the Father,” which posts about just that: the love of our Heavenly Father, as my heart’s greatest desire is to share this great love with the whole world! Posts are available at the My Blog tab above.
I am confident you will be blessed and encouraged reading about how the love of our Heavenly Father got me through some very challenging times both in my book as well as my blogging. I would also love to hear from you all. If you are need of a friend or partner in prayer, please reach out using the email below or the Contact Me tab above. God Bless!
Love, Your Sister in Christ
