Stay Close to Jesus
Today’s verses show us that when we stay close to Jesus and troubles come, and it will come, we will be under His wings of protection. I was praying one day and couldn’t get over the hurt of my divorce. It was not easy watching the children miss him. They did not understand, and I did not understand it myself. I loved my in-laws, but I could not stay close to them because I was hurt so badly; I didn’t want them to see me that broken. On my birthday they came to visit and the divorce papers came while they were there. I fell apart in front of them, and I saw the hurt in their faces. I did not want to see that again; they were great people. So, I continued to pray and Jesus gave me a vision of palm branches waving in the air. He showed me the victory of palms was coming to me-praises instead of weeping! Joy did come in the morning. He filled my heart with great peace and joy that only He could do. Sometimes the pieces don’t fit, but trust Him! He will let things come to pass, just hang on; He sees every tear. I am here if anyone ever would like to talk or pray.
