Listening To The Still Small Voice

This morning, I was struggling in prayer on what I should do in a situation in my life. It had been weighing heavy on my mind and heart. Jesus said, “Do not do what you are thinking of doing, wait until after your time in prayer.” Well, I did not listen and attempted to do the very thing He warned me not to do. Today’s verses emphasize the importance of listening to the still, small voice that is the Lord. He knows all, and we should trust Him. I realized I was doing wrong, so I began to pray and as I did, He clearly directed me in a still, small voice to keep on praying and just trust Him to do the work. The battle is the Lord’s, and I was being over anxious to fight His battle instead of waiting for His perfect timing. When I put my trust in Him, His peace came into me, and I was able to go on my way singing and giving Him all the praise for the victory to come. If I would have succeeded in interfering, I would have made a worse mess of things; that is what happens when you walk in the flesh and not in the Spirit. Thank you, Jesus, for your mercy and understanding.

Love, your sister in Christ
