Let Go and Let God be God!

We should spend time in prayer and reading the Word as often as we can because it brings us closer to knowing God and trusting Him through it all. Try to let go of worry and fear and ask Him to help you in this matter knowing God is in control. Let today’s verses serve as a comfort to you in doing so.

There was a time, as the children were heading toward teenage years, that I was worried which way they were going. Yes, I raised them in the Lord, but I often questioned what choices they were making when they were not around me. I know those years are hard on teenagers being around their peers. Jesus taught me to not worry but instead to pray for them all the time. I knew that wherever they were, the Holy Spirit would be there to convict them to do right. Many nights I stood on my knees and prayed for them because I felt they were in the wrong place and satan was tempting them. Many tears were shed for them all as I learned to entrust them to God, that He has it under control. Life is a learning experience on how to walk in trust in Him. Satan would like to discourage us to give up on our children but never stop praying! In hindsight and as I listen to them tell me things, I see Jesus was there all the time guiding them. They had to learn for themselves that He is real. As of today, they all are serving the Lord and even my grandchildren. What a mighty God we serve! Thank you for this blessing that is my family.

Proverbs 3:5-6

5-Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6-In all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight.

Psalm 46:10

He says, ‘“Be still, and know that I Am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Matthew 6:34

[Jesus said] “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Philippians 4:6-7

6-Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God;

7-And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
