It is Well with my Soul

As we walk through this world of sin and woe, we must watch out for the pitfalls. When you serve the Lord, He is there watching for you and protecting you from the evil one. Grow close to Him and He will grow close to you. You can go as deep into Jesus as you want, there is no limit.

I always wanted to be in the inner circle and be as close to Him as I could. I was never happy to be on the outside and looking in. We must love the Lord with all our heart, soul, body, and mind and surrender it all to Him. Sometimes it seems impossible, but let today’s verses encourage you! Try, and you will get a great victory. Rest in Him, and watch Him work miracles in your life. Trust Him, and see how He guides you.

I was raised in New York City where you did not need to drive. Then, I moved to Long Island where you needed a car. I was afraid to drive because of my poor eyesight, so I didn’t want to learn. Jesus told me I needed to, so I did, but I was not very happy about it. Well, down the road of life, I had no choice but to get a divorce, and I needed to be able to drive so I could provide for my four children alone. I overcame my fear in much prayer and thank Jesus for teaching me a hard lesson. Today’s verses remind us of God’s omnipotent nature. I am thankful that I was obedient to Him even though I was fearful; He knew what was best for me and what was ahead.

Psalm 37:23-24

23-The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in His way.

24-Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Proverbs 3:5-6

5-Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

6-In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Deuteronomy 31:8

And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you, He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you, do not fear nor be dismayed.
