Jesus is Calling America
How many of us have drifted from the Word of God? Let us return to our first love for Him. Today’s verses serve as a call to action! Jesus wants America to come back to where we came from, back to Biblical roots and Christian foundation. America was founded on God’s word, and we have drifted into much unbelief. It is time to return to the Bible and cry out to our Heavenly Father for us to come back into His word, so America can be blessed and be a blessing to others. But for that to happen we must start out on our knees, confess our sins and ask for forgiveness for our drifting from Him. This is a call for repentance, so we might return to our first love, God, when we surrender to Him completely. A song that deeply touched my heart is “Jesus is Calling America,” by the Sojourners. It can be viewed below. I woke up during the night and this song was on my lips; it is right on target for our country today. Christians, let us stand our ground and serve Him throughout this lost and dying world, let us come once again before our Lord Jesus. He is waiting for our return.
Ephesians 4:1-6
1-Therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, I beseech you to have a walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2-With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3-endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4-There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5-one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6-one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Colossians 3:2-5
2-Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
3-For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4-When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5-Therefore, put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Matthew 22:37
37-Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
