Hope

The world teaches hope differently than the Bible. To the world, hope is just a longing or desire for something, but the Bible teaches that hope is actually a justification for our longing. Hope is a person, Jesus, and through our faith in Him we are given the gift of eternal life. Today’s verses should help strengthen our hope, so that it is not so easily taken from us, as satan seeks so often to do. Please don’t let your hope in Christ Jesus be taken away because what you prayed for did not come to pass. He said, “if it be His will for us.” He will not give you something that will make you stray from Him; He knows what is best for you.

I have poor eyesight, and I prayed for years for healing. Thirty years passed, and He sent a doctor to help me in a free clinic when I moved from New York to Virginia. The doctor said he had never worked on eyes as bad as mine before, but he would try. At that moment the Holy Spirit said, “Yes, let him operate on you.” My whole life no doctor would touch my eyes. They would say, “Right now, you have some vision; I might blind you altogether.” My parents took me to many doctors over the years, and they would all insist there was no hope of improvement for me. When this doctor agreed to help me, I told him I had no money or insurance; his answer was “No matter, I will do it for nothing.” Who in the world would say that, only someone who Jesus had touched!

Before he operated, my vision was minus 17 in one eye and minus 20 in my other eye. After the operation, the doctor asked me, “What do you see?” For the first time in my life I could see across the room. There was a lady with black short hair, Hallelujah! I was overwhelmed with joy, I could see leaves on a tree and snowflakes as they fell.

Today, I have 20-40 vision, and thank Jesus for this miracle. Many doctors are still amazed by my eyes; I was diagnosed with macular degeneration and they say I should not be seeing at all. I go every 6 months to be checked and they say, “I do not know how you can see.” They use all the machines and check my eyes and everytime tell me, “you should not see!” My answer to them is always the same as well, “JESUS!” Through the years He has done many things for me and my children; I want to give Him all the glory. My testimonial is now a published book and can be found at the My Book tab if you are interested in learning more about the things Jesus has done for me. I believe in prayer, if you would like us to pray for you just let me know using the Contact Me tab. I love you all.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” saith the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
