Help, Lord, I am Hurting!

I lost my husband when I was 25 years old and 5 months pregnant; 6 years later, I went through a hard divorce. I am no stranger to hurting, but today’s verses remind us we are never alone in our pain, and the Lord is always with us, giving comfort and strength. I thought I would never get through it all and come out normal. I wanted to keep a healthy household for the children and show them we have a heavenly Father who would take care of us. In so many ways He was there blessing us with His presence. When my husband passed away the whole community got together and sent Christmas gifts and food. My church and pastor took us under their wing and encouraged us in so many ways. My poor parents watched their daughter go through hell at that time. I was so confused; I thought once you were saved you would have no more problems. I was a new Christian and had a lot to learn. He does not stop problems, He takes you through them and you learn of His mighty power. I am a living testimony of His love and power. He will take us through if we put all our cares in His hands; make Jesus the center of your life, He will make the difference. Thank you, Jesus, for taking us through life and making us strong in You. I have tried in my own strength and failed, but as I turned my life over to Him each day I learned to let go of the past and look to what God has for us.
