Going Before the Master

My husband died in our home. For some reason, I was afraid to go into the house. I went and lived with my mom and dad because fear gripped me very badly. I went before the Master to help me overcome this great fear. I had to, not just for me, but for the children to not see their mom in such a poor state. I cried out to the Master and this is the verse He gave me; His voice was so deep in my heart I never forgot it, “Fear not, for I am with you; I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This is one of today’s verses, and along with the others, reminds us that even in times of trouble, the Lord is with us, guiding and protecting us, though it may not seem that way.

I was a new Christian when the Lord gave me those words, having only been saved a year, so it was not like I knew this scripture verse already. I go into more detail in my book, found at the My Book tab, about this matter; it is hard to explain everything. One thing I will say, I was a mess! The police put crime tape around my house and that pushed me over the line of hysteria. “What!?” I said, “A Crime!?” Jesus carried me through like only He could. I stayed away from that house for six months until we were forced to go back and live there. It took a while for me to fight the fear that would come on me afterwards. I would quote the scriptures over and over until I won the victory over fear. Thank you, Jesus, for never giving up on me, and today I still have His victory. Amen!

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in times of need.

Psalm 23:1-3

1-The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2-He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside still waters.

3-He restores my soul: He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

John 14:27

[Jesus said] “Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
