God Answers Prayer

From my heart, I write these blogs to encourage others. Today’s verses tell us of the power of prayer! I have been down and discouraged many times through the years. We are human and things could get us down, but that is the time to praise the Lord. He is watching us to see how we handle each circumstance in our life. Are we going to look up and trust Him, or let satan take us down a stormy road? As we trust Him our faith grows, and we get closer to His glory. Jesus knows the beginning from the end and walks along that road with us. The Bible says, “He goes before us and makes the crooked road straight.” This reminds me of a time when the car I had was falling apart. Every day before work, I would go to the beach and pray. One day, Jesus said, “Go to this car dealer and buy a new car.” I said, “but, Lord, I have no money or credit; they will laugh at me.” I went, and the loan officer did laugh at me as he threw the loan papers in my face! The owner of the dealership happened to be passing by the door and saw what the man did. He was fired, and I got a brand-new car. The owner said to me, “I know your son. Go pick any car off of the lot, your credit is good with me.” I am not sure how he knew that, but my son does resemble me, and when I asked my son later on, he told me he did know the owner, but never mentioned about me needing a car and that maybe it was our last name he recognized. I am not sure how this miracle happened, but it did and I had a new car and a loan Jesus helped me pay!

Jeremiah 29:12

“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will hear you.”

1 John 5:14-15

14-And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15-And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.”

Matthew 7:7-8

7-[Jesus said] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8-For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”

John 14:13-14

13-[Jesus said] “Whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14-If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”
