What a Difference Jesus Makes in Our Lives
Today’s verses show us we are not alone in our struggles, that Christ transforms us through His love; renewing us and leaving the past behind and starting a new life. With Christ’s strength we can overcome any challenge or temptation that arises. We must rely on Jesus's strength and support in all parts of our lives.
So many times, Jesus has come and rescued me from doing wrong; or if something was ahead, warned me to be careful. He is there all the time to protect us. I have mentioned that I owned my own beauty shop. Well, a wealthy lady came to my shop and offered for me to exclusively service her and her wealthy friends in my shop, but to do so I would have to get rid of my other customers who were not in their upperclass of life. The Lord showed me that because of her wealth she would not receive Him, but my other customers who were not wealthy were more open to receive His word.
Yes, satan tried to tempt me with riches by selling my soul for money. Jesus' heart is for the meek and lowly, not the proud and arrogant. He fills us with pure joy, not as the world does with happiness that one lasts for a while-a temporary feeling. No, Jesus gives us an inner joy and peace that is forever if we stay close to him.
Many times, I learned to praise Him when I am down by lessening to gospel music, which is just the Bible put to music, and it has lifted my soul. If you have a favorite gospel song that has meaning for you, please reach out using the Contact Me tab, so I can give it a listen!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ you are a new creation. The old has gone, the new is here.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
