Let Jesus Dwell in Your Heart
God wants us rooted and grounded in love so you will be stable in Him, so you will not be swayed by every wind of doctrine that comes into the church. We need to be rooted in His word for this reason. So, when a storm comes, we will be stable in Him. Today’s verses stress the importance of this.
Many years ago, Jesus woke me up from a deep sleep. He was standing by the widow and pointed outside to a bad storm we were having. He said, “you will go into the mist of a storm.” Then He showed me a vision of a house built on the sand and when the storm hit it, it fell apart. He said, “but you have built your house on the rock, the Lord Jesus Christ, and your house will stand.” Yes, the storm came, and Jesus kept His word to me: my house stood strong through that bad storm in my life. The children and I were hurt, but He kept us safe from a bad divorce I went through. I give more details in my book,” He Did It For Me,” which can be found at the My Book tab above.
I thank Him for taking us through and keeping us stable in Him. Yes, it was hurtful and disappointing because I did not believe in divorce, but that was my husband's choice.
Jesus kept us as a good family unit which was so important to me. I wanted to have a good home base for them. They are great children, and I thank God for that because He really gave us a solid home full of love. I knew it was only Jesus’s work within our home because at times I thought we are not going to make it, but just in that hour Jesus would come in and take over! Thank you, Lord of my life. I will forever praise You for all You have done in our lives. Many years have gone by and we still are all together as a loving family.
Ephesians 3:17-21
17-That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18-may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-
19-to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20-Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
21-to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Matthew 7:26-27
26-[Jesus said] “But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand:
27-the rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
