Jesus is the Lighthouse

Today’s verse speaks to Jesus being the light of the world and with it I have included the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, “Jesus is the Lighthouse” by Roonie Hinson.

I was lost in this world of darkness and Jesus came into my heart and shined His light around me. He opened my eyes and gave me His eyes to see clearly a lost world which He gave His life for us in the greatest act of love. I became a brand new person in Him. He helped me in so many ways in wisdom, finance, protection, and even how to be a better mother.

I still have a long way to go in life. We will never be perfect because only Jesus was, until we go to Heaven, and then we will reach our goal and hear our Heavenly Father say, “Job well done.” I am so thankful, but especially at this time of the year, Thanksgiving, that I want to tell the world of His great love. It is that time of the year to give Him praise and Thanksgiving for all he has done for us. Just look around you and see the place we live in and the freedom we have. I am thankful for my children, my home, my salvation, food on my table, and the love in my family. Yes, there is more but this is just a sample in life. I am thankful for all the prayers people have prayed for me during the years of my life, from my grandparents to my parents and so on. I am wishing everyone for a Blessed Thanksgiving! I love you all and am thankful that you read my blog. I hope you are enjoying it and receive much encouragement and many blessings from it. I am going now to my daughter's house to start preparing our Thanksgiving meal. You know Italians love to eat and cook for everyone. We cook and listen to music and sing along with it and laugh because we cannot sing [ha ha ha].

John 8:12

[Jesus said] “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

For me this song explains my life and I give God all the Glory. Jesus is the Lighthouse

Lyrics:

There’s a lighthouse on the hillside

That overlooks life’s sea

When I’m tossed it sends out a light

That I might see

And the light that shines in darkness now

Will safely led us home

If it wasn’t for the lighthouse

My ship would be no more

It seems that everybody about us says

“Tear that old lighthouse down

The big ships just don’t pass this way anymore

So, there’s no use in standing around”

Then my mind goes back to that one dark Stormy night

When just in time, I saw the light

Yes, it was the light from that old Lighthouse

That stands there up there on the hill

And I thank God for the lighthouse

I owe my life to Him

Jesus is the lighthouse

And from the rocks of sin

He has shown a light around me

That I might clearly see

If it wasn’t for the lighthouse

[Tell me] Where would this ship be?

I thank God for the lighthouse

I owe my life to Him

Jesus is the lighthouse

And from rocks of sin

He has shown the light around me

That I mighty clearly see

If it wasn’t for the lighthouse

[Tell me] Where would this ship be?
