Is God Number One in Your Life?
Today’s verses speak of God revealing spiritual truth and opening the eyes of our understanding to see Him more clearly. Surrender all! Examine your heart and bow at His feet for victory. Open our eyes, Lord! May we see clearly Your Word. Let us repent, which means we have a change of heart, which leads to a change in our actions. There were times in my life when I had to stop and re-examine myself, for the flesh can be an enemy to our walk with the Lord. I had to learn how to be more like Jesus and that took time to learn. Sometimes, the things people would say and do hurt me so much, but I had to be like Jesus and say, “Forgive them, Lord, they do not know what they are doing.” I had a bad divorce and at the end he was very bad to me. Jesus said to me, “you stay in Me and do what I want you to do even when it hurts and you cannot take it anymore. I will be with you and whatever he does is his sin, not yours.” I cannot tell you that was easy; I cried many tears of hurt because I did not understand what was going on. I thought because I was saved that Jesus would not let this happen. I was shocked, one husband died and now a divorce? I was crushed. But God was number one in my life, and I just kept on praying and being obedient. He took me through with no hatred in my heart and a peace that only He could give! And my children are a great blessing to me. I am no stranger to pain, sickness, loneliness, etc; Nor was Jesus, but His Father was always by His side and that is true for us as well. I love you all!
