Holy is Thou Name

It was God in Heaven who gave Jesus His name and He called God, “Father.” To be holy means to be set apart for special purposes. Keeping God’s name holy is not simply a matter of how we speak about God. Rather, it refers to giving God a special place in our lives-the highest place as our Lord. Keeping God’s name holy includes honoring God in every way of life. Jesus is holy; everything about our divine Lord is holy, including His name. Today’s verses emphasize this holiness.

Jesus, within these blogs I am writing, my goal is to lift You up. I am so thankful from where You took me from to where I am today. Only You know how lost in sin I was and I want to give Your holy name all the glory. When I was lost and dying You found me, You made me a new creation, thank You. Your love has filled my heart to overflowing. Yes, there have been some hard times in my life, but You have taken me through with a peace in my heart.

As long as you stay close to Him and continue in prayer, He will not leave you alone and comfortless. At night when you are thinking you are alone just call to Him, He sees every tear and hears every prayer. Trust in Him, He died for you. If we as people give our children good gifts, what more will our Heavenly Father do for us. Joy comes in the morning! I have seen His hand move many times on my behalf. One of my sons went into the Marines and every day I prayed for his protection. I know it was God’s will for him to be there, and he was used by God to save another Marine’s life. I still missed my son, and Jesus encouraged me with peace and a prayer of protection for him. Many tough things happened to him while he was there, but he came out a man of God in the middle of darkness, still shining his light for Jesus!

Luke 1:49

]Mary said] “For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name.”

Revelation 4:8

And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

Luke 1:31-32

31-[the angel said] “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.

32-He will be great, and will be called the Son of the highest, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.”

Psalms 103:1

1-Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
