God’s Protection is Over Us

The Spirit of God is always interceding for us before His Father. He knows we are amid so many great dangers. We place our life in His hand because He is always faithful to keep us from harm. Today’s verses are from Psalm 121 and tell of God, who is the help to those who seek Him. Let them encourage and comfort us to know our God is with us. I encourage you to also read Psalm 91 for yourself and let Jesus' minister to you through it.

One day I was in the mall shopping by myself. A group of guys started to approach me. I knew they were up to no good, so I started to pray and ask God for protection. They started to surround me, and then one of the boys said “Oh, leave her alone” and walked away. I got out of there fast before they changed their minds. My grandson is a Sheriff’s deputy and told me not to go there anymore because they were having a lot of trouble with gangs there. Once again, my Jesus protected me from harm! So many things have happened to me where I saw God’s hand moving to help me that I can never deny His presence. I can feel His love coming down to me and holding me in times of trouble, and with it great peace.

Another time, my children wanted to go out and play, our house and yard was surrounded with woods on three sides. In my spirit I felt the Lord say, “Do not let the children go out today.” They were upset because they loved to play outdoors, and didn’t understand because it was such a nice day out. The next day a neighbor came and asked me if I heard what happened. I told her I hadn’t heard anything, and she told me a man hung himself in the woods yesterday. I was so taken aback by what she said and I began thanking the Lord for showing me not to let the children out, so they were spared from such a tragic site. I know You are there all the time! Thank You for watching over my children.

Psalm 121:5-8

5-The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6-The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

7-The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

8-The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and even forevermore.
