Faith of My Heavenly Father!
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Today’s verse gives us the biblical definition of faith. So many times, I had to walk by faith and faith alone. At this moment a memory comes to me: I had no food to feed the children, and I did not know what to do. So, I bowed my head and said, “Help, Lord, what I am going to do?” My sons came home from school hungry and looking for food in the empty pantry. As we sat down to eat dinner, my son said, “How did you do this with no food in the house?” Somehow the Heavenly Father had supplied a miracle; with one box of macaroni, I made a meal! Another time, we just had two frankfurters and potatoes just enough for my two sons. “Help, Lord!” I prayed. I fed my sons, and even though I did not eat that day, I still trusted Jesus to take care of us. The day went on and when I went to the back door, a bag of food was there! I knew it was Jesus because I never told anyone that we had no food. Events like this have built my faith and brought me closer to Him in my life. I was learning to walk on water one step at a time.
