Come Unto His Throne
Today’s verses referencing God’s throne provide us imagery to understand His greatness and His worthiness to be praised. To me, going unto His throne means to get on my knees and worship Him in prayer; telling Him of my needs or interceding for others. He is always there for us and ready to help. So, give a chance and go to Him; His open arms are waiting for our call. He loves us so much He gave His life for us.
Sometimes when I sorrow, I go to Him for comfort and wisdom. He knows how to advise me in all things. When I was going through a bad divorce, I turned to Him for guidance and wisdom. There was so much going on and I was so hurt, I could not think clearly on my own. He told me to stay close to Him, continue my Christian witness, to not offend Him as my Lord, and to not separate myself from Him. The battle was His not mine, so I surrendered my will for His wisdom. If I would have stayed in my flesh I could have done wrong things and I did not want that. No matter how I was hurting, I listened to Him and continued reading His Word and praying. I will not say it was easy; I cried a lot, but He understood my tears. Words can hurt, but I did as the Bible teaches and put up the shield of faith and walked on. The divorce hurt me so badly and came as such a shock because I knew the Lord put us together, so I did not understand then why this was happening. God will not touch our freedom of will, and my ex-husband wanted to go. I had to surrender him to God, with a very broken heart. I thank Him for healing me from that hurt, and the children also from a lot of hurt and confusion. I haven’t forgotten, but the sting is gone. I thank Him for healing all around. I love you, Lord!
